WINTER COURSE CONDITIONS
With effect from Saturday 1st November, the following Winter Rules will apply.
WINTER MATS
The use of Mats is COMPULSORY on Fairways & closely mown areas - but optional in the Rough. After landing on the Fairway, you should place your ball on your Mat (it is not acceptable to move a ball from the Fairway to the side and then play without using a Mat, as this will damage the area known as the 'first cut').
WINTER WHEELS
If you are using an electric trolley, Winter Wheels must be fixed to the trolley.
BUNKERS
When in a Bunker, 'Rake and Place' is permitted throughout the Winter Season (You may lift your ball, rake the area and then ‘place’ within 6 inches of the original spot, not nearer the hole). Mats cannot be used when playing from a Bunker.
TEMPORARY WINTER GREENS
When playing to the normal greens, play should NOT take place from the Temporary Winter Greens (even if using a Mat). You may lift your golf ball and play from your Mat at the nearest point outside the white lines of the Winter Greens (not nearer the hole).
